Very nice tanks you have here. I never thought that you can use lucky bamboos in fish tanks. Great idea! cherry

aww, thank you! well, the lights arent exactly purple but its basically a super white light. Im not sure what its called or anything b/c it just came with the hood of the tank. Its made by All-Glass.

For a year??!! Shocked The guy in my local gardencenter told me that the bamboo rots if the body of it remains in the water for too long.

Perhaps I should try that with my twisted lucky bamboo as well!

well either me AND my sister have fake bamboo or that guy needs to keep his mouth shut about things he doesnt know! Ya, both my 10 & 20 gallon tank have bamboo and my sister's betta bowl. They do nothing but grow very slow (which i think is how all bamboo seems to grow). They even root into the gravel.

twisted bamboo would look very nice i think!

They grow slow? I currently keep my in a wine bottle with little water, and it grows outrageously fast. It's now already over a meter high and I am still thinking what to do with it. Perhaps I should cut it in half so I will have two!
