Bob the Betta vs Peppered Corys

I have to move Bob from his comfortable home - my ADF's try to nibble on his tail (Twice now they've removed bits of his tail!!) and, perhaps in misplaced aggression, Bob chases the Peppered Corys around the tank.

I've watched him engage in what appears to be stare downs with my largest frog (Does it make it easier or more difficult to win such a contest when no one can blink?) from a safe distance - Bettas aren't stupid. He's off sulking in a corner of the tank right now. He's draped himself like a blanket in the Ambulia again. Can't win with the frog, can't catch the Corys. . . I'll have to show him the mirror, that always perks him up!

When he was in the 20G he had a favorite spot on the background that he enjoyed flaring at - a light colored spot surrounded by darkness. Maybe he could see his reflection there? I don't know.

I'll have to keep trying to find him tankmates he likes. I'm thinking shrimp. I suppose he'll try eating them I'm sure he'll like that!

If the African Dwarf Frogs are well fed, they usually won't nip any fish's tail. How often do you feed your frogs?

I feed them daily - in the evenings, frozen brine shrimp or squashed sinking shrimp pellets, everything through a pipette so it doesn't get wasted in the filter. The cories (and Bob) are feed the same things, Bob in the same manner, cories get theirs on the sand.

I think Bob's slow moving long tail is such a temptation they can't resist. The frogs are well fed, but they are definitely curious, checking everything out. (with their mouths!)

Well perhaps move him to nother auqarium if the damage is too serious.
